WHY THIS MATTERS
Like many people, I feel overwhelmed and heartbroken by conflicts around the world — Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza, Sudan, Congo, and many more. Every news story feels like another reminder of how fragile peace can be, and how easily hatred and fear take hold.
But feeling powerless doesn’t have to be the only choice. There is something simple, peaceful, and visible we can do:
We can show that ordinary people everywhere — in every country, every community, every background — want unity, dignity, and peace.
Not war.
Not hatred.
Not division.
I believe a person’s life is worth more than borders. We don’t choose where we are born. We don’t choose our circumstances. But we can choose how we respond.
